TRJE 062: Privacy Schmivacy
This week Regis Jack rants about IMAX Star Trek, Roz Savage, Dragon Con, Social Networks, HD TV and other stuff.
Alrighty then, another week and another podcast, netcast, or whatever the hell they are calling it this week. I give a shout out to Roz Savage who has completed the 2nd leg of her row across the Pacific, a bit of Dragon Con information along with a bit of PAX mixed in.
I didn’t watch any new movies this week, but I did see the most recent Star Trek at the local IMAX theatre – huge screen and 12,000 watts of sounds! The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson is now in High Def, which is absolutely awesome, but I’ve noticed that many of the other HD shows on TV are not really HD. Some are stretched, some have been panoramic’d (is that a word?), and others have just been zoomed in – which is bad because there is a widescreen version of some of these shows that could be shown. I also talk a bit about Top Gear (the best car show on TV).
Since TV and movies were in short supply I spent some time on privacy on the social networks, which turns out does NOT exist (big surprise) and how to eat M&M’s.
In this episode there is a clip from No Agenda, with Adam Curry and John C Dvorak – I’ve always wanted to talk about these drug commercials on TV and their long list of side effects, but they do such a good job, I thought I’d give them praise by including it here.

TRJE 035: Cool Beans
This week Regis Jack rants about BSG, Speed Racer, Facebook Privacy and other stuff.
*** Show Notes ***
BSG, “Deadlock” wasn’t as interesting as last weeks. Red Dwarf is filming again. Speed Racer on BD is highly entertaining, while Max Payne was diasspointing. Mirror wasn’t too bad and My Name is Bruce is only for Bruce Campbell fans. You may know Stephen Tobolowsky and Stephen Fry, but you won’t know if you don’t look.
Some people think Facebook and things that you post on the internet are private – how nieve. Grow up and lean how this generation works and communicates. And speaking of growing up, I also talk about flatulence engines and iPhone application iFart vs Pull My Finger.

SJC 029: SnotCast
This week Regis Jack talks about Movies, TV, Digital Conversion, FaceBook Nudity and other stuff.
*** Show Notes ***
Ok, here is what the show kinda sounded like: Craig Ferguson (of the late late show, the best talk show on television) got married to a women named Megan. 24 starts on 1/11, BSG starts next Friday and Burn Notice starts up again 1/22. Sasuke 21 or Ninja Warrior is the toughest challenge in existence. Be Kind Rewind sucked on BD, Doomsday was a bad Escape from New York. Norbit was very strange experience.
Digital TV is coming soon – but it will suck like normal TV. Facebook is against nudity and pushing breastfeeding monthers – “breast feeding is natural and shoudl not be hidden” – I say so is peeing so let it loose baby. Topless coffee shop in Maine, crazy 21 year old woman, Sarah Palin, Muslims on a Plane and an angry 4 year old.
