TRJE 090: Porn, Alcohol, Happiness
This week Regis Jack talks about Steve Job’s “Freedom from Porn”, Antichrist (the movie), SGU Music, Alcohol and other stuff.
This weeks podcast may seem a bit depressing at times, but that’s just the way it goes. So get your shotgun ready, lock yourself in a dark room, and listen to this weeks podcast. I start out on Steve Job’s now famous email where he says we need, “Freedom from porn,” which I total agree with. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not against porn, but it should be completely our choice. I spend a fair amount of time discussing the movie Antichrist, starring Willem Dafoe. I streamed it HD from netflix last week and let me tell you – it’s not for the timid. It contains explicit sex, sexual related violence and other horrific elements. It’s one of the few films in existence where I could feel the director/writer expressing his feelings through the movie. It was an awesome experience, but also a very disturbing one.
Next I move on to a happier note, the music of SGU. Recently there has been contemporary music used in the episodes that have been perfect to express the depressive tone of the episodes. Songs like, “Worst Day Since Yesterday” by Flogging Molly, “Now Comes the Night” by Rob Thomas, and “Agony” by the Eeels are some of the best songs I’ve heard in a long time and have really helped to convey the emotions of the episodes.
But that’s not all, I tell some stories related to Alcohol, Drugs, and Facebook.

This is episode #090 for Monday, May 31, 2010 and clocked in at 36 minutes, 27 seconds.
